JANE BURGESS is a native of Romney, West Virginia and holds a Bachelor's Degree as well as an Artist Diploma from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. While at Duquesne, Jane studied with world renowned soprano, Claudia Pinza, daughter of Ezio Pinza. Under the guidance of Ms. Pinza, Jane also studied in Italy for three summers as part of Ezio Pinza Council for American Singers of Opera.

As a classical singer she performed the roles of Laurie in "The Tenderland", Lauretta in "Gianni Schicchi" and Hansel in "Hansel and Gretel". After moving to NYC two years ago, Jane decided to cross over into musical theatre.

Last year she could be heard as an ensemble member of "Hip-Hopera", a nationally broadcast radio parody sketch produced by United Stations Networks. Jane is currently playing Ava Gardner in an off-off Broadway production entitled "That's Life" and was recently part of the cast an off-Broadway production entitled "The Hat Left Behind".

Jane is married to jazz guitarist, Micah Burgess. The two have collaborated on a cabaret-style program they'll present in Romney in August 2008.
